Campfire
This version explores a Houdini-to-Unreal workflow for fire simulation.
The same approach can also be used for other types of particle motion or simulated effects that need to be transferred from Houdini into Unreal Engine.
In this setup, I also use flipbooks to transfer rendered fire and explosion simulations from Houdini into Unreal.
Compared with another workflow where I transfer the motion data and rebuild or drive the effect inside Unreal, this version keeps most of the heavy simulation work inside Houdini. The final result is then brought into Unreal as a lightweight real-time representation, mainly using particle cards and flipbook playback.
The main goal was to keep the expensive simulation and rendering work offline in Houdini, while using Unreal primarily for efficient real-time playback and integration.
