This R&D explores two different types of liquid stream simulations.
The first is a small-scale champagne pour into a glass, while the second is a larger-scale custom liquid simulation, in this case using milk.
The main goal was to achieve a smooth, visually appealing flow while preserving the correct sense of scale and physical behavior for each type of liquid.
Scale is especially important in fluid simulation because liquids behave differently depending on factors such as viscosity, surface tension, velocity, and overall simulation scale. Since water and other liquids are very familiar to viewers, even small inconsistencies in motion can make the result feel unrealistic.
The challenge was to keep the simulations physically believable while also maintaining the softer, cleaner, and more controlled motion often required for a commercial or product-style look.
